Mantle to Headboard


Got this mantle on Friday at a garage sale for 30$.  It was  solid  black. The card in my camera went bad so , no before pics.    I deceided to change it Sunday.  I added beadboard to the back and painted and distressed.   It is my new headboard.  Now it is more my style.   Want to build up the  height .  Shabby!  .............     you are so lucky. Who gets a mantel for $30? OMG. It looks great too. Can't wait to see the bed with it attached.

    Thanks both of u . I know she was trying to clean out her garage. I can't wait to see it in my room. I want it to look like an empire bed, tall. ,,,,,,judy
