Chippy Signs

This is a sign my neighbor gave me. It was sitting in her flower bed rotting.  It came from an antique mall in town.   Keeping it under cover  to slow down deteriation.   Still sick . Trying to take it easy.  I think Canton will be a washout for me.  I was looking forward to it, but health is more important.   Happy Monday to all!            judy

Sick Of Being Sick

I know it's only been a couple of days, but this stuff is crazy!  Last night could not breathe,my nose was shut so tight I was in misery.   None of the drugs were working.   Thought I would go insane.  Better this morning. Going into my chest too.  Can't hear or smell or taste. Bummer!   Back when I feel better.   judy

I think I have picked up a sinus thing.  Claritin D = No Sleep. Keeps me awake.  What happened to all the good stuff that makes you drowsy? Canton is coming soon ,must get better.   I will probably crash here some time today.    It's pretty ugly outside anyway.  Rainy.                       judy

New Gate

This is the gate I got in Athens this past weekend.   Now to  paint the house in front.  We ripped up the landscape across the front to plant Roses.  Things had grown up too big over the past years.  Can't wait to plant, it looks so bare.  I will put Bouganvilia in the 2 big concrete  pots in front.      Needs lots of color!!               judy

These  are just a few grand houses of Galveston.   I stopped and took these on the way to the beach one year .  We don't go their much anymore. We go to Destin, Florida every year instead ,where the sand is white as sugar and the water is swimming pool blue.  These houses have stood many hurricanes but still remain. I have always loved them.                             judy

Birds Of a Feather & 1 Squirrel

I know, we see them everyday.  But while I sit at my computer I can see them flying up to my porch railing.   They are so pretty, I want to take their pictures.  The red and blue ones are my favorites.  The squirrel is around daily. He is now posing for me.  haha!      Spring is almost here!  I am more than ready.   Another beautiful day!  Enjoy!                        judy

Just A Few

Got the great musicbox in Canton yesterday at a little antique  mall.  It actually plays "Ave Maria". Love it!   The necklace came from "Winnie and Tulula's".  Love the little perfume bottle. Had grandkids last night so running on NO sleep. It's gonna be a long day.            judy

Went to this great place finally. Got an old gate, cute necklace , and the  new "Flea Market Style" magazine!  Lots of good things here.         judy

A New Arrival

Got this bisque doll today and she was on sale,, 20% off.  She is German.  I just love German made things.  Adding her to my collection.  She will have a place in the old chippy bed next  to, two black haired ones.  She had a purple dress but I like white or cream  on my dolls. 71 degrees so far! Beautiful day!        judy

Paint It Black

This has sat in my workshop all summer. I was dreading doing this one.   It was a dark wood veneer finish which I won't try to do again. I had to degloss and sand down. It actually turned out ok. Surprised!  The cute knobs made the finishing touch. Three drawers had no knob holes so I think I will buy more knobs for the top drawers. Hope you all had a good Valentine's Day!   Back to work.   Judy

I Baked!

Anyone who knows me well knows, I don't like to cook.  I bought a muffin pan last week and this is the second batch of cupcakes.  Good thing I don't cook often or I would gain some serious weight.  These are for my husband , Happy Valentine's Day Baby!  For my man who does so much for everyone, but himself.     Love u  judy

Good day Junkin!  Found this great old babybed all chippy , the way I like it.  Was big enough for all the dolls. Will  have to keep for a while, my dolls are kinda fond of it.  Loved the green chippy table.    Not sure what  I am going to do to the foldup table and chairs. probably sand and paint.   Sunny and  56 degrees so far . Yea!!!!    judy

Booth work

Worked on my booth marking down and other things from 10:30 to 2:00.   Sold some big things so looks empty again. The organ topper left and a great table with ball and claw glass feet.  Need to restock on the smalls. Very busy today, must be the weather.    Tired.    judy

Here we go again.  Just like last week.   Ice then snow. Around 16 degrees.  I went to Forney yesterday and found a few things. (above) Changed the birdcage already.  Will be in high 60's by weekend!   69 on Sunday.  Made a big breakfast for us and the dogs.    They are staying warm in their heated garage.    judy

Another Trip Before Lockdown

Ok, we know this  winter storm thing is coming tonight, so I stayed out all day. 50 degrees now.  It's going to be a repeat of last week.  Today was another  day to take advantage.  I ran into some sales in town and in Forney. A 40% off booth!    The industrial chic aluminum stool and some cool pictures. I love the angel and Jesus one . It's over my bed now.  Got some more things I will post tomorrow. Need to work on some.     90 % is going to my booth.  Off to paint!    judy

Little Roadtrip

Canton  Flea was a bust this weekend .   Today is pretty but cool, I needed a ride out of Dodge(ROYSE CITY)  Went to Mc Kinney, Tx. and Farmersville.  Just about an hour away.  Got some keys, cute handmade doillie purse, Berwin toy typewriter, and I believe a hat stand.   Tomorrow Quinlin.  Then bad weather is supposed to appear again Wednesday.  More captivity.   Happy Trails!      judy
