These  are just a few grand houses of Galveston.   I stopped and took these on the way to the beach one year .  We don't go their much anymore. We go to Destin, Florida every year instead ,where the sand is white as sugar and the water is swimming pool blue.  These houses have stood many hurricanes but still remain. I have always loved them.                             judy

    I love these houses too~this post has made me want to go to Galveston! I haven't been since the hurricane~

    I have family near Destin and grew up on the West Coast of Florida...the beaches there spoiled me!

    Great house pics, I love looking at old homes, so many great architectural elements.
